Corfu is a destination which offers a variety of travel choices. There are several airlines which offer charter flights from the UK during the summer season (May-October), and also during Christmas and Easter periods. Recently, a new line has been added by British Airways and Easyjet which will run from London Gatwick to Corfu, four times a week, and serving the north of the UK from Newcastle with Jet2, this will make short trips easier and will allow a little more flexibility. Out of season, although there are currently no direct flights, there is still a variety of routes to chose from. Departing from the new port in Corfu Town, there are daily ferry crossings to ports in Italy such as, Bari (7-8 hours), Ancona (12 hours) and Venice (24 hours). From these destinations, Ryanair offer budget seats at low prices to various UK airports. Also there is a choice of Easyjet, Olympic Airlines and British Airways, flying from UK airports to Athens, following with daily connections to Corfu.
